About Me

I am a junior AI specialist who holds the Level 7 Artificial Intelligence Data Specialist qualification from Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education. The qualification was achieved after successfully completing the Data Science and AI course with Cambridge Spark who is the training provider. I am also a current employee at Lloyd's Register which is a global professional services group specializing in marine engineering and technology.

In addition to this government funded course I also completed other courses related to AI and machine learning, for example, I have passed Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate and AWS Machine Learning Specialty exams which supplement my knowledge and skills in the AI and Data Science domains.

Cloud Computing

My cloud computing journey began in December 2023 when I sat my first cloud certification exam (AWS Cloud Practitioner). After passing this exam I knew that I wanted to learn more about the fascinating world of AWS and so I proceeded taking the AWS Certified Solutions Architect course which was a bit more comprehensive but I also think that it taught me the basics of cloud architecture and most importantly why we even need cloud. I gained an insight into how to deploy applications that are highly available, reliable and fault tolerant whilst optimizing the cost. After passing SAA-CO3 exam, I then proceeded with other courses and certifications which led me to 6 current active AWS certifications. Since I was working with Azure cloud provider most of the time instead of AWS, I also decided to take Azure exams which in my opinion are harder due to the variety of questions that you could be asked but also due to the lack of well structured courses.

Other skills

In addition to these cloud certifications I have also obtain certifications in other areas such as Kubernetes and Terraform which are very popular tools for maintaining the cloud infrastructure on which applications can run.

Future Goals

I would like to use AI for the good and improve people's lives. I have experience across many areas, from data ingestion to putting AI powered applications into production. My apprenticeship and time spent at Lloyd's Register taught me how to use simple solutions that involve traditional machine learning models as well as how to integrate solutions that involve Large Language Models and AI Agents. Because of my extensive exposure to AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform I can also help to put these solutions into production and ensure that these apps are secure, reliable, highly available and fault tolerant.
